Once the outer surface is dry we will flip them and prime the bottoms.

We used latex primer with the spray gun. This part went very fast compared to the cleaning!

Next I thoroughly de-grease them.

First, all hinges, handles, and hooks need to be removed.

Today I am preparing some cabinet doors to be painted.

Now we just have to double check that there aren't any holidays.

Rolling the large areas is much quicker. At least when Kerry does it!

This room has beautiful wood beams that we have to protect from white paint. I cut into all the hard to reach places and worked carefully with  a wet rag on hand.

This house is getting a lot of work done to get ready for the spring. Today we're painting the kitchen ceiling.

Now for the fun part! Painting white paint onto a white surface makes it hard to tell what's already been painted. I used the natural light to see what was wet and what wasn't.

The edges on this patch weren't lining up as nicely as we would have liked. So, I went back in with the compound and smoothed it out with the joint knife.

Sanding creates a lot of dust. Good thing I had the goggles and mask!

Any where that has been patched with joint compound needs to be sanded first.

Today I will be painting a living room ceiling. I found out quickly that this requires some upper body strength!

The finished paint job! We just need to dust off that railing.

Now I have to do some cutting in. The goal of this is to cover any areas where the roller will not fit. I cut in near the trim and ceiling.

Violet was there!

This area had some old caulk that needed to be removed with a razor before I could fill the crack.

There are some gaps between the the wall and trim that need to be caulked.

First I need to sand down any where that has been repaired with joint compound. Then a quick dusting off.

Today I am doing some prep work in this stairwell and hallway. Then Kerry will swoop in and finish the painting.

It looks great! Now we just need to touch up the white.

Taping takes so long that it's almost a shame that the painting stage goes so quickly!

This project required a lot of taping! It's important to make sure the tape sticks to each angle and curve. We don't want excessive bleeding.
